Tata steel share price target: Shares of Tata Group-backed steelmaker, Tata Steel Ltd has hit a new 52-week high of Rs 179.65 per share on Friday, June 7, close to its Rs 180 mark. In the latest trading week, the stock zoomed by over 5% on the BSE.

The 52-week high for the stock came a day after Tata Steel responded to a Bloomberg report titled - ‘Dutch May Pay as Much as €3 Billion to Clean Up Tata Steel Plant’. "The company is in discussions with the Dutch Government on the proposed decarbonization roadmap," Tata Steel added. "The Dutch Parliament, in March 2024 formally gave a mandate to the Government to negotiate the terms of potential support towards a proposal for decarbonization in Tata Steel Nederland. Subsequently, the Dutch Government has formulated a detailed framework of diligence, analysis, discussions and negotiations with Tata Steel which will run over several months before potentially culminating in an agreed set of terms," it said.

Tata Steel dividend

The board of directors of Tata Steel has recommended a final dividend of Rs 3.60 per equity share earlier. In an exchange filing, the company stated that, “The board has recommended a dividend of ₹3.60 per Ordinary (Equity) Share of face value ₹1/- each (360%) to the shareholders of the Company for FY2023-24.”

Tata Steel has fixed Friday, June 21, 2024, as the record date for FY24 dividend.

"The Board has fixed Friday, June 21, 2024, as the Record Date for determining the Members entitled to receive the dividend for the financial year ended March 31, 2024," the company stated in an exchange filing.

Tata Steel ex-date According to BSE, Tata Steel shares will commence trading ex-dividend for Rs 3.60 on June 21. Interestingly, the ex-date and record date for all corporate actions align on the same day due to the transition of all instruments to the T+1 settlement cycle.

Tata Steel share price target 2024 Meanwhile, Kotak Institutional Equities had a REDUCE rating on Tata Steel. In its report dated June 6, 2024, when the currently market price of Tata Steel share was Rs 169, the brokerage said that the fair price of Tata Steel was Rs 155, down 8%.

The stock has delivered 37.65% returns over the last six months and has gained over 60% in the last one year. Furthermore, shares of Tata Steel have gained 7.06% in the last one week as per BSE data.
