Tata Technologies, Microsoft, And Tata Motors Initiate 2nd Edition Of Hackathon For Budding Engineers

Tata Technologies, in collaboration with Microsoft and Tata Motors, has unveiled the 2nd edition of the Tata Technologies InnoVent hackathon. The theme for this year is centred around utilizing Generative AI to propel innovation across the product development value chain, encompassing product engineering, manufacturing, and customer experience. The competition is open to 3rd and 4th-year engineering students in India, with a special emphasis on participation from women engineers and differently-abled team members. The top three teams will be awarded cumulative cash prizes worth ₹4.5 Lakhs, along with paid internship opportunities at Tata Technologies.

What Happened: The hackathon is designed to engage engineering students across India, offering them a stage to display their creativity and innovative solutions to tackle the challenges faced by the manufacturing industry. The theme for this year is centred around utilizing Generative AI to propel innovation across the product development value chain, encompassing product engineering, manufacturing, and customer experience.

The top projects will be awarded complimentary access to Microsoft Azure Sandbox and guidance from experts at Tata Technologies and Tata Motors. The assessment process will be conducted in three stages: initial reviews, virtual Proof of Concept (PoC) presentations, and final demonstrations. The top three teams will be awarded cumulative cash prizes worth ₹4.5 Lakhs, along with paid internship opportunities at Tata Technologies.
