Telegram faces outage worldwide: Users flood X with memes

Telegram has been down in India as well as in other parts of the world for some time now. Users have reported multiple issues with the instant messaging platform. According to Downdetector data, users across the country has reported facing an outage. Telegram users in Indian cities including -- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Nagpur, Patna, Lucknow and more have reported issues with the messaging app.The outage detector site claimed that 49% of users reported problems with sending messages on the WhatsApp rival. According to reports, this outage has affected users in other parts of the world as well, this includes regions in Asia and parts of Europe.Telegram has yet to share an official statement about this outage.

Meanwhile, 31% complained about the app not working and another 21% of users claimed that they can’t log into the cross-platform mobile messaging app which is available for iPhones , iPads as well as Android smartphones and tablets.This platform allows users to send and receive messages, photos, secure conversations and other information and is considered an alternative to text messages or SMS.Several users also took to social media site X (earlier Twitter) to share memes about the messaging app being down. Here are some of the posts:Another report by Bleeping Computer claimed that Telegram users are seeing a "Connecting" alert when they try to open messages, groups, or channels on the platform's desktop client.The "Connecting" alert, typically used during slow internet connections, prevents users from accessing the messages. According to reports, this outage has affected users in other parts of the world as well, this includes regions in Asia and parts of Europe.Telegram has yet to share an official statement about this outage. The company is expected to confirm if this is a planned maintenance activity or if their servers are down.
