These Apple Watch models will soon track your sleep automatically

Even though watchOS 11 isn’t that big of an update, it brings one of the most-awaited features to Apple Watches – the ability to track your sleep automatically, without having to set a sleep schedule or turn on a special mode.Right now, the Apple Watch can only track your sleep if you tell it when you're going to bed and wake up, or if you manually start the Sleep Focus mode. But with watchOS 11, the watch will be smart enough to know when you're sleeping, even if you take a nap during the day. It will keep track of important information like how long you spend in different stages of sleep and your blood oxygen levels. This automatic sleep tracking will give you a more complete picture of your sleep patterns without any extra effort on your part. It's a really handy feature that a lot of people have been waiting for.Another new addition in watchOS 11 is the Vitals app , which will show you important health information like your heart rate, breathing, temperature, blood oxygen, and sleep all in one place. If any of these measurements seem unusual, the app will let you know and give you ideas about what might be causing the changes, like if you're getting sick or had too much to drink.Plus, there's a new Shazam widget that will make it super easy to figure out what song is playing, right from your watch face.To use watchOS 11, you'll need an Apple Watch Series 6 or newer, along with an iPhone XR or later running iOS 18.
