New Jeep Meridian X
To compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep has launched the X variant of the Meridian. Do note that the Meridian is already a feature loaded SUV but still had a need for more features just to rival the Fortuner. That said, with the new X variant, the Jeep Meridian will additionally offer – puddle lamps, programmable ambient lighting, air purifier, side moulding, dashcam, premium carpet mats, and an optional rear seat entertainment package.
The new X variant of the Meridian has been launched at Rs 41.66 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The new X variant has been positioned above the base – Limited (O) variant and is Rs 50,000 expensive.

What Else?
Jeep Meridian is one of the premium SUVs offered by the brand. It gets a premium interior which is covered with soft-touch materials inside the cabin. Even the feature list is extensively long which includes – Ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless phone connectivity, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, electric tailgate 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and triple-zone climate control.
Powering the Jeep Meridian is a 2.0-litre diesel engine. This engine is capable of producing 168bhp & 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic. It is the same engine which also powers other SUVs like Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, and its own sibling, the Jeep Compass. Also, it comes with an option of4X4 for all the off-road enthusiasts.

Currently, the Jeep Meridian has been priced between Rs 41.17 to Rs 48.45 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, the pricing is soon going to increase as the SUV will be receiving a facelift. With facelift, the SUV will receive some advanced features like Level-2 ADAS and more.
