Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is ready to be released on May 21 in India. The company finally set the time at 12 PM to launch the next Y-series phone in the country. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed a bunch of details about the smartphone already. Vivo has confirmed that the Y200 Pro 5G features a silk glass design, and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset.

Vivo Y200 Pro 5G: Specifications
Ever since announcing the launch, Vivo has been teasing the Y200 Pro on its social media account. Some of the teasers reveal that the smartphone will feature a curved display. The speculations are that Y200 Pro will follow the prior device, vivo Y200, with respect to 120Hz AMOLED screen. It also shows dual rear cameras and the phone in green colour with patterns on the back.
Vivo claims that the Y200 Pro will feature the slimmest 3D curved display in the segment at just 7.49mm.
Vivo confirmed in a release that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, compared to Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 in the Y200.
The camera details are tipped to include an anti-shake camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. It also offers an upgraded version for night photography and portraits. The design and specifications leaked via the listing suggests that the Vivo Y200 Pro could be an updated version of the Vivo V29e, as per the various media reports. It is said to feature 8GB of RAM and ship with Android 14-based OS.
Vivo has also hinted that the pricing will be around Rs 20,000 for Vivo Y200 Pro 5G. To remind you, the vivo Y200 5G was launched at Rs 21,999 in India.
Vivo Y200 Pro vs Infinix GT 20 Pro
On the same day of launch of the Vivo Y200 Pro, Infinix is also launching the GT 20 Pro, which is expected to be priced similarly. From what we know so far, the Infinix GT 20 Pro 5G will come with an LED interface with 8 colour combinations and different lighting effects. Interestingly, these lights can be customised as well. Infinix is pitching the new device as a cool gaming handset at a mid-range price. It is also confirmed to feature a massive 6.78-inch 10-bit FHD+ AMOLED display with support for 144Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
Infinix has also confirmed that the phone will feature JBL-tuned speakers as well. Under the hood, the new Infinix phone has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Infinix's proprietary VC Chamber Cooling tech is also present for heat dissipation.
